Robot Kitchen Masters Cooking Two Dishes Simultaneously

Moley Robotics, the makers of the world’s first robot kitchen, announced today that their fully-automated robotic kitchen can now cook two dishes simultaneously, maximising efficiency and making robot-cooked dinner parties a thing of the future. The Moley fitted kitchen comes complete with all the appliances you’d expect to find in a luxury home, with the addition of two dexterous robotic arms that once fully trained will be able to cook more than 5,000 dishes from fresh ingredients. The smart IoT Moley kitchen is designed so it can be used like a regular kitchen in “manual mode” or by the state-of-the-art robot. 
Moley’s new-found ability to cook two dishes at once has been perfected using the engineering team’s favourite dishes: ribeye steak, served medium rare, and a delicious sweet potato, coconut and chilli soup. The ability to cook two dishes concurrently, exactly as the chef who taught the robot, enables busy households to cook a range of fresh, healthy meals for the whole family, just as a real-life human chef would. 
Integrated into a cabinet at the heart of the kitchen is a giant interactive touch screen (also known as a GUI – Graphic User Interface) which hungry owners use to access all the recipes. Inside a powerful processor runs the robot, IoT appliances and utilises Artificial Intelligence (AI) to tailor the professional chef’s recipes to customer preferences. Recipes can be filtered by cuisine nationality, calories, vegan or vegetarian, their favourite chef, the course, starter, main or desert, and food types – such as pastas, paellas or soups. The recipes can be customised to suit customers’ pallets and personal preferences, adjusting portion sizes, seasoning and low-calorie options. 
This luxury model – the first in a range of Moley robotic kitchens – is on sale now, priced at £248,000, and over 1000 potential customers have already registered their interest in purchasing this innovative technology. 
Whilst the first domestic model is priced at the premium end of the market, Moley are already working on the next automated kitchen in the range that will feature a reduced level of technology and features to reach a wider demographic. A commercial kitchen model is also in development, and that will be suitable for hotels, restaurants, hospitals and care-homes, where healthy fresh food can be in demand 24-hours-a-day.  
Each Moley kitchen is also available in two formats: as a smart Internet of Things (IoT) enabled kitchen, either with or without the integrated robot. The smart kitchen, (known as “X”) includes an IoT refrigerator and storage, which flag up when ingredients are about to expire or are running low, and professional-grade induction hob, oven and sink. Users can learn to cook under the supervision of Moley’s integrated AI tutorials and access exclusive chef’s recipes. The smart kitchen can easily be upgraded at a later date to include the fully-automated package (known as “R”) with the state-or-the-art robot arms and dexterous hands, mounted on the integrated three-axis rail system.

TÜV CertificationThe Moley robotic kitchen design and development process is aligned with industry standards and regulations, such as ISO 12100 and a number of key food safety regulations. To achieve this Moley is working in collaboration with the industry-leading provider of technical services for certification, TÜV, to create a product that sets new standards and levels of quality in the domestic robotics industry. The TÜV certification is a mark of distinction that underlines Moley’s rigorous product design, manufacturing, and quality control processes. Moley has successfully completed the second round of certification and technical file review and are close to final sign-off, ready for compliance testing.
