PEUGEOT FRÈRES INDUSTRIE, whose mission is the development of the Peugeot brand across different categories of household and family products, is partnering with DELSEY PARIS to launch a new premium brand of luggage, trunks, and backpacks in Spring 2023.

Since 1810, Peugeot has been designing and producing ingenious items to simplify daily life. The brand marries technical precision with emotive design in all of its lifestyle products, remaining true to its values of innovation and French lifestyle and know-how. This new luxury luggage line is no exception, offering a contemporary interpretation of trunks of the past.

The new collection, called Peugeot Voyages, provides a fresh and distinctively French approach to travel. The range was created to simplify the traveler’s life, making it easy and a pleasure to pack a suitcase, live out of it comfortably, and carry it with total mobility.

“Each piece has been crafted with the utmost attention to detail, offering a distinctively bold and timeless design so one can travel both elegantly and efficiently,” said Albert Engler, Head of Design and Innovation. “Peugeot Voyages embraces signature Peugeot elements, while incorporating a color range that embodies the French savoir-faire. A masterly sense of detail allows for the luggage collection to be equipped with ingenious features, all of which correspond to exclusive innovative functions.”

EMBRACING HISTORY:

Inspired by the French style of living and traveling, Peugeot Voyages’ high-tech design possesses signature and historical Peugeot elements, including the lion — an emblem that represents power and authenticity. The lion head is found on every piece of luggage throughout the collection and its mane is stylized through geometric lines across a number of the products.

Another Peugeot icon serves as inspiration for the collection: contemporary metallic rivets. These rivets accent the luggage, showcasing the company’s renowned expertise in steel working and mechanical engineering, which can also be found in other product categories such as their signature grinders. This reinterpretation underscores the continuity between traditional and modern-day materials, along with the technological evolutions in travel and design. Like the lion, the rivets act as a mark of authenticity, establishing a link between the hard-sided and soft-sided luggage.

The luggage tag itself also resembles those found on the trunks of the past, and is available in black leather for all bags.

DURABILITY:

Produced from technologically robust materials, the new waterproof luggage withstands the tests of time and travel, while also boasting extraordinary security. During crash testing, 21 points of impact were closely scrutinized under especially challenging conditions. The luggage successfully weathered temperatures between -20°C / -4°F and 60°C / 140°F, with no damage.

Peugeot Voyages also portrays a unique and elegant practicality. For optimal durability, the bags are crafted from leather and recycled materials – polycarbonate, polymers and rubber — while the trolley system and locks are designed to offer elegant, silent security. The luminous lining of the bags’ interiors reflects the technology inherent in their design, matching the metallic hue of their wheels and rivets.

THE COLLECTION:

Peugeot Voyages’ comprehensive and original range is comprised of seven products: a medium and a large trunk suitcase, a carry-on suitcase, a wheeled duffle, a carry-on duffle, a business backpack, and a convertible tote backpack. The colors of the collection are bold and assertive, yet sophisticated and timeless. The suitcases come in matte anthracite, glossy white, and glossy red, and the duffels and backpacks will be available in black and navy.
